Learn Ai

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy explains how Learn Ai (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit learnaiskills.co.uk, get in touch, sign up for updates or apply for a role with us. We keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@learnaiskills.co.uk.

Who we are

Learn Ai provides practical, instructor-led AI training for individuals and small businesses across the UK. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy (the “controller” under UK data protection law). You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@learnaiskills.co.uk.

The information we collect and why

When you make an enquiry or ask about training

Our enquiry and booking forms (for example on the Book a consultation and For SMEs pages, and on course pages) ask for your name and email address, and may also ask for your phone number, organisation, team size, the courses you’re interested in, your preferred format and timing, and a message.

We use this to reply to you, recommend training, prepare quotes and arrange and deliver sessions. We do this because you’ve asked us to (steps before a possible contract) and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. Your enquiry is emailed to us and kept securely in our website’s admin area.

When you sign up for our newsletter

We ask for your email address so we can send you practical AI tips and training updates. We do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing hello@learnaiskills.co.uk. If we use an email service to send our newsletter, your address is stored with that service on our behalf.

When you apply for a role

Our application form collects your name, email address and location, any message you write, a link to your CV or LinkedIn profile and, if you choose to upload one, your CV. We use this only to assess your application, contact you about it and, if you ask us to, consider you for future roles. We rely on your consent, which you give when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interest in recruiting the right people.

Applications are emailed to us and stored securely in our website’s admin area. Uploaded CVs are kept in a private folder that can’t be reached from the web, and only the people involved in recruitment at Learn Ai can see them.

When you use the course finder

The course finder on our Courses page counts answers anonymously (for example, how many people chose “My team or business”) so we can see which training people need. These counts aren’t linked to you. To stop the counter being misused, a scrambled, one-way version of your IP address is held for up to one hour and then discarded.

When you book through another service

Some sessions are booked through third-party services such as Eventbrite. When you book that way, the service’s own privacy policy applies to the information you give it, and it shares your booking details (such as your name and email address) with us so we can run the session.

Cookies and similar technologies

We keep cookies to a minimum and only use analytics cookies if you agree to them.

  • Your cookie choice: a small cookie called ains_consent remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don’t ask again. It lasts 6 months.
  • Google Analytics (only if you click Accept): cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID help us understand which pages are useful, how people find us, the type of device and browser used and approximate location (such as the town or city). They don’t tell us who you are and last up to 2 years. If you click Reject, Google Analytics isn’t loaded at all.
  • Small conveniences in your browser: your browser may store a few non-identifying settings, such as remembering that your course finder answers have already been counted. These stay on your device.
  • Our team: WordPress sets login cookies for our staff when they sign in to manage the website. These aren’t used for visitors.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, and you can delete cookies in your browser settings.

Videos, images and fonts

Some pages include YouTube videos. The video player only loads when you click play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you play a video, YouTube (Google) may collect information under its own privacy policy.

Some images on our website may be loaded from Unsplash, a photo library, which means your browser connects to Unsplash to display them. Our fonts are stored on our own website, so no font requests are sent to Google.

Who we share your information with

We don’t sell your personal information. We only share it with organisations that help us run Learn Ai and that act on our instructions, including:

  • Hostinger, which hosts our website
  • our email provider, which delivers form messages and emails to us
  • Google, for Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies
  • booking and email services, such as Eventbrite, when you use them or when we use them to send our newsletter

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our service providers, such as Google, may process information outside the UK. When they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep your information

  • Enquiries: up to 2 years after we were last in touch. If you become a client, we keep the records we need for accounting and legal purposes, usually 6 years.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Job applications: Uploaded CVs are deleted automatically 6 months after you apply. The rest of your application is kept only as long as we need it for recruitment, and then deleted.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics keeps the information it collects for 14 months.
  • Course finder: the anonymous counts are kept until we reset them; the scrambled IP address for up to one hour.

If you’d like us to delete your information sooner, email hello@learnaiskills.co.uk.

Keeping your information safe

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, form submissions and uploads are checked before they’re accepted, and access to enquiries and applications is limited to the people at Learn Ai who need it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it
  • ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it

To use any of these rights, email hello@learnaiskills.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

Our website and training are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when we change how we use personal information, for example when we connect a new booking or email service. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
